Meet the Dental Practice Team

Andrew Vance qualified Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the Royal Dental Hospital in 1977. He has always been an advocate of further education, gaining Membership in General Dental Surgery in 1990 from the Royal College of Surgeons.

He has taken courses in occlusion under Roy Higson including Advanced Restorative Dentistry. Recently he attended a year course in Cosmetic Dentistry with Chris Orr.

Andrew is a member of: British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, British Society of Occlusal Studies and the British Dental Association.

He has two sons. His interest are the theatre and film as well as swing dancing to the sound of big bands. He has also been seen at the gym in the hope of keeping fit.

Penny Hawkes qualified as a hygienist in March 1976 from King’s College Hospital Dental School.

She rejoined the practice in March 2002 after a break of 7 years working in other practices.

Her interests are music, art, dancing and …darts! Penny is a member of the NSPCC and the RSPCA. She has one son.

Maureen Nolepa has been with the practice as Receptionist since February 1999.

Her interests include reading, gardening and her two German Shepherd dogs. She is a keen supporter of local animal charities.

Cherie Dowling joined the practice as a trainee dental nurse in April 2008, prior to this she was a travel agent.

Cherie is engaged to her partner of eight years. Her interests are her Boxer dog, Chuckey, traveling and trying to be a keen gardener.
