What people think about us
I have always had regular dental checkups and all necessary work carried out, so my teeth were sound, but over the years their appearance had deteriorated and were badly stained, yellowish and somewhat misaligned. Andrew provided me with a ‘preview’ of how my teeth could look with some aesthetic work – a huge improvement! I decided to have the work carried out and I can honestly say that it was relatively pain free and undertaken over a period of some weeks. I am very pleased with the results, better than I could have hoped for – I smile a lot more these days!
Mr P.M.
Andrew Vance was chosen by me as he had long been the dentist to an old friend of mine. A year ago in 2007 he completed a set of veneers for me. He gave much time and great attentiom to this complicated work and I was
well satisified with the result and am completely happy with the improvement to the look of my teeth and smile.
Mrs G.N.
I was quite apprehensive about the extent of the treatment I was about to undergo but Andrew made sure I had all the information I required and answered all my questions. I was very happy with the way the work was
carried out and more than satisfied with the final result. It is a very friendly and approachable practise; Maureen is very helpful and approachable and obviously used to dealing with a lot of nervous people! I would
recommend the practise to anyone seeking professional and high-quality dental treatment.
Mrs J.E.
I have been a patient of Andrew Vance for many years now and have always found his work to be of the highest standard. I should mention that his approach to his work is both caring and comfortable.
Mr S.M.
Thank you so much for the wonderful care you have given me, during the last few years. I had always been apprehensive about visiting the dentist – but not any more! My new dentures fit so well that, for the first time, I do not have to apply any gripper whatsoever! Thank you once again for all the care that you – and all your staff give to me.
Ms A.A.
I am 60 years old and for most of my life I have avoided Dentists for as long as possible.
Approximately 12 months ago, an inflamed gum sent me to the Andrew Vance Practice in Bognor as an emergency patient. The problem was quickly diagnosed and treatment recommended which, for the first time in my life, included a session with the dental hygienist; Penny Hawkes.
After removing an accumulation of plaque and generally cleaning up my teeth, Penny recommended that I changed my routine to include regular use of interdental brushes and I can honestly say that, having now used them regularly (every other day) for the past 12 months, I am a total convert.
All patients must remember the feeling of the newly treated teeth – the feeling that you can put your tongue between your teeth and it feels odd having a gap there. Well that is how they should feel all the time because that means there is not so much plaque filling up the gap and making it smooth. That smooth feeling may feel unusual to you but it is not good for your general mouth health.
I now use a combination of regular brushing, interdental Tepe brushes, flossing and mouthwash with the aim of keeping that odd feeling gap between my teeth, except it doesn’t feel odd any more. It feels good and my mouth feels fresher and more healthy. A regular 6 monthly visit to the Practice, reinforces the routine and keeps me in good shape.
It has taken me 60 years to realise that regular dental care is good for you and I guess it is better late then never. I would thoroughly recommend everyone to consider adopting the same sort of regime for the good of their health and the earlier the better.
Mr J.S.
